I am big fan of hydration. Many people think that moisturize the skin is the most important step but for some of us who have oily areas, products that provides hydration is the best option, particularly during the summer days. Among all the hyaluronic mask, serums and creams I have tried, this is by far my favorite formula. My second favorite is the Eminence Strawberry Mask but, I would like to talk about this serum because is fairly new in the market. This product claim to be formulated with highly concentrated long and short chain hyaluronic acid molecules, resulting in a boost in hydration to combat existing wrinkles. The theory behind it is, that short chain molecules penetrate deeper into the skin to fill the reserves of moisture in the skin. It is a transparent light liquid that refresh the skin at contact. It contains “Pursiane” to activate the skin antioxidant defenses combating free radicals. It minimizes lines to the contact and produce a “with in” glow. Although this product claim to be safe for sensitive skin, I always recommend trying a little bit inside your arm and wait a couple of hours before any purchase.
Something I learned is that Barbara Sturm launched a line for darker skins in collaboration with Angela Bassett. I have not tried this line but I noticed it have the same product skincare products as the main line. The main difference I saw besides the indication of “darker skins” and the actress name added to it, is that the serum has one more active ingredient: Lumicol. Combined with Pursiane, improves complexion, adds radiance and “lends it a more refined and glowing appearance”. I am intrigued about how different may be on my skin because I have tan skin. I am not sure which line will be better in my case but so far I love the standard Hyaluronic Serum.
I think it is fantastic that she launched a line for darker skins because there are other needs to address as well. Not all skins are the same. Bravo!
The base of keeping a healthy skin is consistency therefore, I recommend this serum for every day use instead of sporadically. I have read to squeeze the content of the pipette into the palm and apply it evenly on you face but I think this depends how is your face. I think three drops is enough to cover my whole face otherwise I think I will run out of this product quite quickly and it is not cheap. Our skin can tell you if you need more or less. It will absorb what it needs. Pat the product gently with the fingers over the whole face. It will absorb in seconds. I recommend using this product on a clean face after your antioxidant serum or on a fresh face but before the moisturizer.
Let me know which other products similar to this one you love or if you have tried this product as well.
