I was interested in trying the Retrouve eye cream but instead decided to try this overnight intensive treatment due to how many compliments this product has received. It is recommended to normal to dry skin and editors from major magazines rave about this product. I think it is a great product during the day time for dry to very dry skin.
What I like about this product:
- Some of the ingredients: Lavender Oil, Jojoba Seed Oil, Rosemary Oil and Pomegranate Oil Malus Domestica culture cell (A tree from the Rose Family) and White Tea extracts. This combination of ingredients provides anti-inflammatory properties, calming and soothing properties plus antibacterial properties. I love that it contains Squalane to hydrate and protect the skin barrier.
- Coenzyme Q10. I love that it contains this ingredient. The combination with the rest of the ingredients gives us Vitamin C and A properties.
- It’s mixed in a vacuum environment and poured into a black glass bottle. This preserve intact the formula avoiding the light and air.
- The bottom part of the box warns us that the hue of the formulation may vary due to the natural ingredients used. It looks like a yellow thick oil.
But…
I have used this product for three weeks and although I think that it is an excellent product and formula. I applied with clean hands or fingertips to my face after cleaning it and to the neck and décolleté
I find it too oily to use as a moisturizer during the day for my combination skin type. It is a deep moisturizer and very nourishing. Somebody with very dry skin will benefit greatly from this product and it is great to combat the effect of the heater during the cold months. It did not cause me any reaction or blackheads so far, but I need something a little bit lighter. I hope I can try The Cream instead at some point to see if it works for me because the Intensive Moisturizer is a high performer.
